Breakfast briefing: Architecting the AI-ready enterprise

Hosted by CACI in partnership with AWS

In May 2026, CACI and AWS hosted an AI Breakfast at SUSHISAMBA in London, bringing together senior technology, data and business leaders to explore a shared challenge: how to move from AI experimentation to meaningful, scalable business value.

As AI adoption accelerates, organisations are no longer asking if they should invest, but how to focus, prioritise and execute effectively. The discussion centred on cutting through complexity, aligning ambition with outcomes, making deliberate architectural choices, and putting the right governance and organisational foundations in place to scale AI with confidence.

The morning focused on three key themes shaping organisations' AI strategies:

FMCG icon 5
Outcome-led AI: Moving beyond experimentation by defining clear business objectives and prioritising use cases that deliver measurable impact.
FMCG icon 4
Architecture and data: Selecting the right techniques, architectures and data strategies to balance performance, cost, flexibility and long-term scalability.
Insights 1
Governance and change: Establishing guardrails, building trust in AI, and evolving operating models, skills and culture to support sustainable transformation.

Key learnings from the day - bitesize takeaways

We've put together this handy document to summarise the key insights and learnings from our panel on the morning.

The opportunity for change

The AI landscape is evolving rapidly, but so is the pressure to deliver. Organisations are facing increasing expectations to adopt AI at scale, yet most are still at very different stages of maturity. While experimentation is widespread, relatively few have successfully translated AI into consistent, enterprise-wide value.

The challenge is not access to technology, but the ability to operationalise it. Common blockers continue to emerge, from fragmented data foundations and unclear architecture decisions to gaps in skills, governance and ethical oversight. Without these elements in place, scaling AI becomes complex, costly and difficult to control.

CACI and AWS are working together to help organisations move beyond experimentation by:

  1. Defining clear, outcome-led AI strategies that prioritise business value
  2. Designing scalable data and AI architectures aligned to real use cases
  3. Establishing strong governance, ethics and risk frameworks
  4. Enabling organisational change across people, skills and operating models

With the right foundations in place, organisations can move from isolated AI initiatives to sustainable, enterprise-wide adoption unlocking value with confidence, clarity and control.
